3 Mile Run with a Little Fartlek

I tried to mix up my 3 mile run today by throwing in a mile of fartlek in the middle. If you remember, fartlek training is speed play where you alternate between short sprints and normal road pace for recovery. It’s fun to look at the graph after a workout like this. The thing you can see best is after the farklek where my pace slowed way down. It didn’t pick up my sprints as much as I thought it would though. It was a good workout and really helped to get my legs in better shape.

I ran 3.05 miles in 27:53, and I burned 305 calories. My average pace was 9:08 minutes per mile.
