Reviving the Fitness Blog for Summer
Hello Summer. I love summer. I’m not a big fan of the heat here in Phoenix, but I do love the time off from work that I get for 3 months during this part of the year. It’s perfect for jump starting a failing fitness regimen. I don’t have the excuse of no time any more.
So the weight has crept up to the “Oh No!” range again, and just last week I said, “I’ve had enough.” I started jogging, working out in the gym, and eating right again. In one week I’m already down 2 lbs. I also did my first hike of the summer up Piestewa Peak. The air was a little hazy this morning and it was very hot at 8:30am, but I made it up 3/4 of the way - 30 minutes. It’s a start. My legs were a little tired from yesterday’s lower leg workout.
So this blog will come back to life as least for the summer. We’ll see what happens to my body as a result. I’m hoping it’s all positive.

Well, if you’re going to get back into fitness, i suggest trying a new online fitness network and ditching traineo (so old-school). LOL.
After a search across many different fitness networks, the two i thought were pretty good were Fitlink.com and Gyminee.com. I think I will be using Gyminee with my students next semester, so I will probably be using that one the most.
